New Post: HTML IFilter - Modify to ignore headers/footers

Folks,

We're using Microsoft Search Server 2008 Express to crawl our site, and I'm running into some things that need to improve. I'd like to investigate writing, or extending upon the existing HTML IFilter such that I can have the crawler ignore certain parts of my web pages.

Do you out there in the community believe this is possible? If so, are there articles that you would recommend reading? Any help would be very appreciated, and I'll try to post the code that I use as well, once I'm under way.

New Post: scopes do not work properly

Hello,
I defined a content source which was crawled succesfully with, let's say, 500 succesful items.
Now I defined a scope and included the previously defined content source in a rule.
As I see, there where way less items counted from this rule as there were items crawled.
In another source-scope definition there where just no (0, NULL) items counted.
I redefined this sources and scopes/rules with different names, there where no changes.
Almost no items where counted by the rules.
Neither if I define a content source nor if I define a web address as scope rule type.
Please help me.
